Since I had been "double dog dared" to post today, I just had to comply. I can never pass up a challenge like that! :)
We have begun to go through our basement trying to weed out things that we don't need. Wow, it is something to start going through old boxes. I came across some letters Adam wrote to me while we were dating. It was so much fun to reminisce about old times, and the boys loved looking at our pictures. They kept commenting on my "big hair" which was very accurate. What was I thinking?! The things that we wore were also comical and it made me realize how old we are getting.
For those of you fellow WBA attenders, I came across our high school choir tapes. I started listening to them and it made me cry! I have such great memories of my high school days thanks to wonderful teachers and friends. I am so thankful for parents who sacrificed to allow me to attend. It was during those years that God did a work in my heart and gave me the desire for full time ministry.
As you probably realized, we didn't get much work done this week. Maybe once we get past all these sentimental things we can really accomplish something. It sure has been fun though!
I will stop my ramblings since I think I completed the challenge. David, you have been such a good influence on us. Check out Adam's blog (Love Letters) because he actually posted as well. I think that he has a video clip of our new place.

Sledding
I wanted to show you some footage of our sledding as a family. David & Kristi, don't be too shocked about the two posts in a day. I am sure that it probably won't happen again. :)
This is Adam & I going down the hill. Listen for the crazy lady screaming. I had other parents smiling at me, and Adam asked me if I got out much as a kid. Well, I know that the hill doesn't look that big, but looks can be deceiving you know!
I don't have any pictures, but today has been an absolute beautiful day. The boys & I made snow angels and I did feel like a kid again. We went on a walk and I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the new snow. It made me think of the verse that says that our sins will be as white as snow. I am so thankful for God's love, mercy, and forgiveness to me. I have so much to praise Him for!!

News!
Well, I know that you all will be happy to see something new on this blog. This past month has flown by and I need to get you caught up in our lives. We had a wonderful Christmas with my family although Micah got the stomach flu Christmas Day. Isaac was sick and we had to take him to the emergency room New Year's Eve. It wasn't an emergency, but there was nothing else open. It sure made for an exciting end to the year! We were actually looking forward to the holidays ending so maybe we could all stay healthy for a little while! :)
We also celebrated Caleb's 8th birthday and had a blast sledding. It is hard for me to think that my little boy is growing up so fast. I couldn't help but reminisce about the day he was born and the endless hours of labor! He is such a blessing to our family and is an extremely patient big brother.
We have some news about our family. Adam has resigned from the pastorate here and we are headed to WI to begin a new ministry. We are saddened to leave our church family, but we know that God is leading and directing in our lives. We have seen some great answers to prayer and especially a major one in housing. God provided a home for us in the exact area where we want to reach, and we are so thankful for His provision for us. Please pray that this transition will go smoothly and for the varying emotions that come with this move.
